Let's see, what would I do with a small loan of a million dollars...
Probably the first thing I would do is buy a computer, one I could play games on and stuff like that. Right now I have to share a computer with my brother, and it's in his room, not mine. I would ask his help for different parts to add, because he is a lot better at that sort of thing. I would want the computer to be a good one, so it would take my savings down to... around $800,000? I would also get a drawing tablet, because I have no way to color any of my artwork right now, and I really should get into digital drawing. This wouldn't cost much at all compared to the PC, only a couple hundred. Next I would help pay for a better house for my mom. Right now I have to share a house with 5 other people, and I have to share a room. I do like where we live now, but a bigger house would be nice. My mom has a couple ideas from when she first moved. Maybe $1-200,000 left now? Depends on how good of a house we would get. The rest of the money I would put into college savings, because that is always a good thing to do. College is important, mah brosephs! :D

1) Aha! Moment...
In Raymond's Run, I think that the Aha! moment was right after the race, when Squeaky realized it didn't really mattered if she won or not, because she realized that she wanted to train Raymond to run anyway. She had never thought about Raymond being a runner, but now that she saw him run, Squeaky knew he would be fast. 2) Plot... Exposition: Page 38 This is where Squeaky talks about her brother Raymond, and what she does at her house, and how she deals with bullies. She talks about her speed and the race coming up. Rising Action: Page 41 This part of the plot has a bit of exposition about Gretchen and her 'friends,' but also sets the scene and provides the conflict, Gretchen. I also think that when Squeaky goes to sign up for the race is part of the rising action. Climax: Page 44 The climax is the race alongside Raymond, but moreso the suspense afterwards. The climax is the part with the most excitement, and the race had me on the edge of my seat (not literally, because these desks are weird, but figuratively) Falling Action: Page 46 This is the part after Squeaky realizes Raymond could be a good runner, when she is just thinking about how Gretchen might be able to help and such. The falling action is usually pretty short. Resolution: Page 46 So Sqeaky (sorry, Miss Hazel Elizabeth Deborah Parker) wins, she and Gretchen make up, and Raymond gets to have fun. Hooray! Extra Questions... a. How do you know if something is worth effort? Give an example of a time when you worked hard for something. Why was it worth it? I think that something is worth effort when you feel good about it. If you put enough work into something, it feels good to finally complete your task! Only a few days ago I decided to do a drawing that actually had a background woah and I started to work on it. It took a lot more work than my other sketches and such, but it looked totally awesome when it was done! It was definitely worth it because my mom is going to eventually frame this one, which will make it look even more cool! c. Give an example of an Aha Moment you recently had. (Think of the "lightbulb" going off right above your head) How did this change your situation? An 'Aha!' moment I recently had was during summer break at home. I was beginning to think of what I could do for Halloween this year when my mom took out some GENU-INE TROLL HORNS THAT WERE EXACTLY WHAT I HAD THOUGHT OF WITHOUT ME EVEN ASKING and I started putting together my costume in my head and everything just fit perfectly into place! Thischanged my situation because before I was unsure of what to go as, but now I had a great idea of what to do! d. Think of someone (or yourself) that may have a disability. How has this disability affected how this person is judged (or explain maybe how it doesn't). So, my sister has autism (just a bit), and it has affected her a lot. Right now she seems fine (she is on snapchat 24/7 so yep usual teen girl right there yep) but when she was little she got angry a lot and attacked me and my brother sometimes. She was also bullied a lot in Junior High by some other girls, and has a hard time making new friends. |
